Background

Delphi is a Windows software development environment. It includes a programming language of the same name that is a Pascal descendant. CodeGear (spun off from Borland) makes the only Delphi product. This product specializes in Rapid Application Design.

Products

The professional edition costs about $900, and the enterprise edition costs about $2000. The enterprise edition includes support for interfacing with virtually every kind of relational database. Lazarus is an open-source Delphi environment.
